Subject: Re "Sadly most of the BFSS archives were destroyed during the Blitz. " Date: Mon, 9 Aug 2010 11:07:47 +0100 From: "Phaedra Casey" To: Good morning I write regarding this statement "Sadly most of the BFSS archives were destroyed during the Blitz. " which I discovered on http://www.twickenhamurc.org.uk/history/school.htm Please could you remove the statement, as it is fortunately not true. A very small proportion of the BFSS records was destroyed during the Blitz. The vast majority survive and are housed at the BFSS Archive, Brunel University. They are frequently used by family historians, local historians and researchers in the history of education. Please see http://www.brunel.ac.uk/about/administration/archivesandrecords/archives/collections/bfss I would be grateful if you could resolve this inaccuracy on your website as soon as possible. Thank you very much. Regards Phaedra Casey, BFSS Archivist.
